Things that I made in June and July

I finished this cardigan. Wahoo! Overall, the wool cost me £36 (although I do have some leftover for another project). So making my own clothes isn’t saving me money, but I don’t think that’s the point. I am pleased that I made something that looks like this, and taught myself some new skills in the process.

After using patterns to make a couple of jumpers and a cardigan, I’m starting to get an idea about how clothes are assembled. So I’m making this one up as I go along. I had an idea of colour and pattern and shape, and am doing what I think might work out. We’ll see. It’s been fun to just make something without following any instructions, just my instincts.

I’ve been continuing to make paper flowers for our wedding reception/one year anniversary (paper, get it?). To be honest, I was getting a little bored, so I am eternally grateful for the friends who mucked in and made a load more flowers at my hen party. You guys are the best.
